New suggested requirement for GC

I think this is a great opportunity for US. They can offer people GCs if they serve in Iraq for 9 months or so. This way those desparately wanting GCs can have two choices:
(1) Wait endlessly for dates to become current.
or
(2) Serve and get GC.
In fact in order to reduce backlog, I think this requirement should be made mandatory. This will also ensure most loyal people come to immigrate not the ones like Akbari.

Even the american citizens are not willing to serve in this illegal war, and now you are suggesting that non-citizens should go and fight in this war who came to this country b/c they are more educated, talented, hard working and fair than bible thumping, illeterate, low paid, mostly racist, gay and homosexual? :p
 
Freedom and democracy are two key pricipals here.

Those are citizens(born or naturalized), GC holders are IN the US system.
Those wanting to get in must be made to serve. No harm in that and I do not see aything wrong either. You would not be "drafted" but in order to have GC you must serve in Iraq for freedom and democracy. Those who don't want have option of going back always. This will also help the army with the shortfall in recruitment.
What is wrong in asking the people who want to immigrate to serve the country?. After all they want to stay and raise family here right?.

I am an Indian waiting for my GC. Recently, I came across very strong and strange comments on this forum. I think we should be ashamed of ourself. American people are accepting us although we belong to third world country. On the other hand, we Indians (American-Indians) cannot even accept our own people. Rather than helping, we discourage them and feel good to see them going through rough time. All first generation immigrants have gone through this phase and should be helping each other. I am sorry if I hurt any body.

To fight for any illegal war is something that my conscience will not allow me to do EVEN IF it means a freaking GC as reward. Keep that gc and shove it up your ***.

Congratulations for having such a high esteem. Congrats for having belonged to a third world country and be ashamed of it.

Now, sarcasm aside, you are here NOT b/c american people are generous enough to let you come in here, you are here b/c american people NEED you and without you (or someone that could replace you) they will loose money.
