New SSN Issue

Hi All,

I sucessfully went through my interview in Chennai on May 20th and at that time I filled the section to issue the SSN removing the clause/restrictions.

I did recieved the SSN but the number is different from the original assigned to me when I first entered the country.

I was under the impression that the number should be the same and that they just issue the card removing the clause/restrictions on it.

Any one has similar experience like this before???

SSN & Plastic Card !

Hi
Just curious when you arrived in States and how long it took to get SSN Card. Let me know if you already got Plastic card too.

The reason being I had my interview on 26th May'05 in chennai and arrived in States on 1st July'05. Just waiting for SSN & Plastic Card.

Your help will be really appreciated.

CP Interview in Chennai on 26th May'05.
POE in Detroit on 1st Jul'05.
Received Welcome letter on 22nd Jul'05.
Received Plastic card on 26th Jul'05.
