New rules on deportation in case of divorce

Please advise if its TRUE that a foreigner married to a US citizen WILL be deported, without exclusions, in case of divorce regardless of how many years they stayed in marriage.

I was told, before if you were married to an American and get divorced for whatever reason after you get green card or US citizenship, you could have continued living in the US as if nothing happened. Recently (like couple years ago), however, they changed the law such that no matter how long you were married or even if you are a green card holder or a citizen, your greencard or citizenship will be revoked and you will be deported if you get divorced from an American.

Is it true or false? Has the law really changed so drastically?

Thx!
