New RFID Passports in Boston

I got my passport today from the Boston passport office (I made an appointment and paid to have it expidited). I received the new passport with the RFID chip. My wife who got her's in Sept recieved the old passport.

me too. Applied mid november, expedited and got it in slightly less than two weeks. Thicker covers and said contained electronic devices.
 
Does the Boston Agency issue expedited passports same day or next day?

I got mine next day. Got there at 2:30pm on Wed and picked it up after 3pm thursday.

You need to show an airline ticket or Itinerary.

No, i applied at the post office and paid about 60 for the expedition ( not sure if this is a word) fee. applied on a friday, received it in about 13 days.
