New processing time in NSC on 08/09/04

so NSC has usurped TSC to become the slowest of them all. pity.

True...When I filed 485 in Nov. 2001, NSC was way better than the rest, except probably CSC !

In general it was assumed that NSC is OK and TSC is slowest, but is there some sort of reshuffling in the office going on or any other reason any info???

the officer in NSC may not get higher pay, and lazy to change the date of progressing,
in order to reduce the backlogs, NSC need more officers or simply give them more salary!, they can do 20 cases one day, but they also can do 5 cases only; however where is our money (application fee increased???), Bush's pocket!

not sure Kerry can do something better or not, if I can vote, definitely vote him.

i feel it is because of concurrent filing of I140/I485 new rules.

I am waiting for my I140. No change since 3 months.

By publishing No change in Current Processing dates, NSC is admitting that they did not work at all for the last two months on I-485 cases. Lazy couch potatoes... I wish I can get such a job where you get paid even if you dont work.

Unless we know where the problem is, we should not use this language. I dont want that kind of job where ppl disrespecting me or my work :)

Lucky mosters

USCIS says they are not working on tax payers (citizens) money, and solely by the fee from immigrant fees. So they dont need to answer tax payers and local politicians. They dont need to worry about someone will superwise them or wont feel any responsibility. Its a lawless organization and have no shame for taking salaries and sitting idle. Shame, they dont feel any moral obligation. Atleast government employees in other countries work for bribes or fear for politicians or media backlash. They are passing time under the name of security verifications, name checks, finger prints, FBI's, RFE's. This is a thick skin crazy camp or wild wild west.

wallst_wizz,
remember on the back of your paying check has the
signature of treasure departmet of USA (i found from my bank photocopy). so this big money will go to DC first, I guess, so Bush or somebody else still can control USCIS somehow in annual buget. but nothing he wants to do really.

Please let me know when you find the problem source, so that I have your permission to use this language...

Friends why don't we start sending mail as other people are doing. Send the mail to the director of NSC highlighting the concern - No change in the processing date in 20 days. You got to be kidding. What is your opinion?

This is true. Someone in this forum got a RFE for EVL right after his H1B extension got approved. What a waste of time, money, and everything!

EB-485 is still Feb 1, 2002.

Something must be wrong.... BUSHit
It is not a distant memory that all of us thinking when the Aug 8, 2001 processing date was stuck for almost one and half year. Now we see changes every 21 days and we are not happy. Are we complaining for the date not moved within three weeks? Please take it as positive sign to see those days moving even every other month and do not worry about other service center processing dates.

Regards,

Folks here need to stop using processing date as yardstick of how fast applications are being processed. It is well known fact that it is not a reliable information and even though offically processing date is 02/01/02, people with ND of upto Nov 2002 are being processed and approved.

People need to chill out and show some patience here. Cribbing, complaining, moaning and fretting about a date will get us nowhere. Those who are trying to figure out a pattern are bound to be frustrated.

Not preaching here, but seems like it is has become a norm now, to curse INS everyday and vent out. Everyone knows that approach has never worked and never will. Instead change priorities, and there are many more things to take care instead of just a GC.

wwossen, smart_guy007 and else, I gree with you somehow, no much to do to change CIS, just hope they do well, but while you wait one, two or even longer time for your case, your patient will loss, when I registered this forum last year, I also didn't like any complaining, just to get more info. here ... anyway this is free speech focum if don't like, can go another thread.

processing date is still meaning something, otherwise CIS can cancel it!?
somebody mentioned that if 90 (or 95% case cleaned) the date will move (correct me if I am wrong) also may include following reasons:

1. CIS wants to keep the old date, if calling him, CIS can just say the date is ... wait another 30 day ...

2. affected by concurrent filing, as CIS said this may delay other case somehow.
but not sure.

3. CIS worked on cases reversely also definitely delay the processing time.

we stlll concern:
though Nov. 02 cases get approved, but we dont know exactly how many percent cases approved in 2002, and what the average processing date (say July 2002).
and average proccessing time for approving i485 cases in 2005/2004. CIS
is not a blackbox, but at least it is grey box on those. (if wrong, correct me)
