New Pilot Naturalization Exam

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone, my second post. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year. In 1952 at the age of 2, I became a Naturalized Citizen under my parents. Can't believe how fast time as gone by.

November 30, 2006 USCIS Director Emilo Gonzales announced the release of 144 questions and answers for the Pilot Test of a New Naturalization Exam.

What I did, was to add the questions and answers to my WEB site, which is listed in my profile. This site was made to give people an opportunity to practice both the old and any new tests.

Just passing a cursor over the blue answer block will show the answers. My own design. I would be curious to find out if anyone uses it and what they think. ( It's Free). The site was designed to help people pass these exams.

I didn't know the rules for posting WEB URL's so for now if anyone is interested they have to go thru my profile..

Once again Happy New Year

Nick

USCITIZENNOW.COM I hope this link makes it easier.

nick4033, Can you please post the steps on how to go through your profile to get access to the URL, where you have set of questions for practice?

I think you can post the url address http://www.yyy.com so that N400 applicants can practice tests.

If there is any objection in posting the URL in this forum, Please let me know. I will give my email address for you to send the URL.

Happy New Year

I hope everyone has a Happy New Year.

I want to thank the people that have already checked out my site. Just curious if the way I set up the questions and answers will be a good way for everyone to study for the tests. I had thought of making it multiple choice but then decided my way might be easier. I'm sure there are other sites that offer free multiple choice tests on line. So I wanted to make mine alittle different and hopefully easier.

I must say, I am impressed with both this site and this forum. I can see that the people on this forum, make it as great as it is. I've only been here afew days and seeing how everyone tries to help everyone else is a wonderful thing to see.

Best of luck to everyone in their citizenship process.

Answer to question 72 on your website is wrong.

Question: Name the amendments that guarantee or address voting rights.

Answer on your website: 14th, 15th and 19th

Correct Answer: 15th, 19th, 24th and 26th

The answer on the old "official" set of questions was also the 14th, 15th and 19th. I think it is reasonable to include the 14th. But, as you point out, the 24th and 26th explicitly call out voting rights. But, so does the 23rd.

I was all set to answer this question in a rather complicated way when went in for my interview :)

Thanks MJA and Flydog for the feedback. As Flydog pointed out I had used Form M-481 (Naturalization Study Guide) as my reference. I had picked up M-481 from the 970 Broad , Newark, New Jersey office. :o

Going to the USCIS site I checked
http://www.uscis.gov/files/nativedocuments/M-623.pdf Flash cards for the test questions and answers.
MJA is correct. The flash cards show that 15, 19, 24 and 26 are the correct answers.

I will choose the USCIS website as the final say in the future. Thanks again for the feedback. Question 72 will be corrected tonight. (Done :) )

Very interesting I must say. I like how the set up is, so I don't see the answers when looking at the questions like other places have. Very cool. I have my interview this comming Monday, so I'll probably not get the enhanced question version (hopefully not, this is the first I've seen those questions).

With regards to the voting thing, yes this has confused me as a copy of the test I got a few years back it mentioned the 14th as being one of the ones for voting. Now the package with the civics test I got handed to me after my fingerprinting, has only the 15, 19, 24 and 26th mentioned. When going through the questions now, sometimes I'm slipping up and saying the 14th as well.

Glad this got cleared up, I was thinking I just had a really bad memory, but in fact since I had been studying the old for for years (from time to time), it just threw me off with the new answers.

Now all you need for the site is to randomlly generate the questions in different orders and then I'd have to say it'd be probably the best out there (pretty much is the best I've seen as it is). Good job...

Warlord, your response is greatly appreciated. I will look into the random generated question suggestion.

New redesigned test questions added

Just wanted to stop in and let everyone know I added the redesigned citizenship test questions to my site. Some of you have been there in the past and I hope you will revisit.

I'm considering adding a simple multiple choice quiz in the future. I would like to get some feed back on that, as to whether I should add it or not? I always disliked the fact that you include wrong answers in that type of quiz.

My signature has the web address. It is Free to practice the present citizenship test and also the redesigned citizenship test that takes effect at the end of the year.

Everyone have a good weekend.

Nick
