new passport - H1 Visa stamp in old passport

Hi ,

I have my H1 visa stamp (Feb 2007 to Feb 2010) in my old passport. I got my new passport from San Francisco Indian Consulate. Since the new passport does not have any visa stamp, is there anything that needs to be done like informing the BCIS about the new passport? or is it sufficient if I just carry both passports together when traveling out of the country and show both when re-entering?

Any response is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Keep both the passport stapled and at POE show the Visa stamp page in expired passport.

New nationality: validity of visas in previous passport

Hi,
I recently acquired British Nationality and cancelled my Indian Passport that had valid H1 visa for the US. I do have the cancelled Indian passport with me and there is an endorsement saying that it is invalid and the holder has acquired British nationality. Does the H1 visa remain valid and can I make travel to the US (and ofcourse take employment) with both my cancelled Indian passport and British passports? I have never entered US with this H1 visa so far. Does the same apply for other US visas like visitor or L visas? Your info will be useful.
Thanks
