New passport and H1b petitions

Here is my situation:

-company A had petitioned for a H1b for me in may but due to a change in circumstances they had to withdraw the petition
-company b is going to petition for a H1b for me
-my passport expires in 5 years -it is 5 years old, machine readable but not biometric and the photo is also 5 years old... should I get a new passport before company b files the petition (I didn't have time to do it with company a), or will it look "dodgy" in the eyes of the us administration

No need to get new passport at this time.
