New Passport after AOS filing but before Interview

Hello,
my current passport is going to expire in July 2010 which means that I have to renew it. I have an appointment at my consulate to apply for a new passport in March.

I'm about to send in my I-485, I-130, I-765 and I-131 package to become a permanent resident (based on marriage to USC). The package, of course, includes copies of my current passport and visa.

Will applying/getting a new passport be a problem while AOS is pending? It also means that I'll probably have to bring the new passport to the interview, or worse, only have an old "voided" passport at the interview.

Thanks!

What is your current immigration status in the US? How long does it normally take to obtain the new passport, and do they keep your old passport during the processing period? Do you have another government ID like a driver's license that will be valid for at least the next 5 or 6 months? Depending on your answers to those questions, your upcoming lack of a valid passport could be a problem and it may be wise to change the timing of either your passport renewal or I-485 filing.

jackolanternm is right,i guess you are on visitor visa, get the new passport before filling I-485,it gives you more time to fill but also submit a photocopy of the old passport.
