New O1 or extension?

Hi, I have an O1 which expires Oct 31. I am changing the petitioner, since I moved to another city and found a manager. Can I get a NEW O1 for 3 years or I am only allowed to file an extension of the previous one?
I am afraid to make a mistake in the I-129. I have to indicate what case it is.
Thanks a lot,
HB

I believe if the petitioner changes (i.e. your employer) then you must apply for a new O-1. I don't think O-1 visas are transferable from employer to employer unless perhaps you are changing positions within the same company.
