New Jersey Timeline???

Does anyone know the time line for New Jersey citizenship.
I applied in sept 2001 and didn\'t get my FP notice yet.

Do we have to wait for 5 years to apply?

One of my friend (a citizen) told me that we can apply after 3.5 years itself as there is a delay in the NJ processing.

I am totally unaware about citizenship, please advice. BTW, I got my GC one employment based category.

Strange that you have not yet got the FP call ! was your check cashed ? why not call the INS customer service and check with them with your File number.

6-Month waiting for FP in Newark District Office.

Thanks fo your reply.
I called the INS Vermont office yesterday. The person I spoke to, told me that Newark District office has computerized finger printing and currently there is a 6-month waiting period there for taking FP\'s. He said I should get a call in the next couple of months.
