new interview exam vs old exam

Hi friends,

My application is from June 2008 with FP in August 2008. I have interview coming up on may 2004. I think I will be taking the old interview exam. I just wanted to confirm from experts that it is indeed true and if IO will ask me which exam I want to take.

you will be given the option to pick which version you want to take. you will have to complete a form to make a choice.

If using time machine, old exam was only available in 2004.

More seriously, you'll be given option between old and new exam at interview since you filed before October 1st, 2008.

You have the right to take which one you prefer though.

My N400 was accepted in August, 2008. I passed the citizenship Interview in January, 2009. USCIS officer asked me, what test I prefered. I chose the old one. You definitely have a choice.
