I have a friend in Singapore and wants to come to US on H1b.
In the current situation, are people getting new H1B visas approved?

If your have US employer who can file for H1 visa( if you qualify ) the employer has to spend Lawyer fees, educational evaluation, getting LCA from DOL and lawyer fees+ I-129 fees to BCIS + BCIS training fee $ 1000 to BCIS, employer has to spend around 3000-3500. BCIS is taking 6-8 months for new H1 approval and depends on service center. For premium processing add $1000 more to the above said expenses
And can someone tell me the cost for regular and premium processing?

---- Yes, at this time they look at education certificates carefully and if the job really exists and company can pay you the LCA salary and have not laid off US citizens, if education from south India then they send the documents to be verified by Chennai Anti fraud unit and takes time. Many in the past from south submitted fake degree certificates or educational documents and because of these people others have to suffer. Shame on these people those who close door for other genuine degree holders
