New H1 Vs. Extension by same company

I hold H1B of a company which expires June 30. I will have different job description after that.

1. Should the company file a new H1B
2. Should it file an extension?
3. I have just started to get paid for last. Wil they need salary slips? and howmany?

You can do a H1 transfer. skill set is not important, unless it is a diversly different job description. Similarities between the LCA is crucial.
