Hi,

I'm a GreenCard holder and wish to give up my greencard and get back into
HI-B for marriage purpose. Has anybody doen this and have any info as to
how to go about doing this? Specifically, does anybody knows how a greecard
holder can obtain an H1-Visa (and then give up his greencard)?
I appreciate any information from anyone egarding this.
Thanks

Never heard of this. GC is a privilege. Just imagine the hassle you will have to go through again if you give up your GC, get onto a H1 and then wait to get your GC again(unless you're marrying a US citizen).

How would the USCIS look at this? Anyone would, with a lot of suspicion. A better idea may be(if your fiance/spouse is not US citizen) to spend some time outside the US with your fiance(after marrying him) until you become a US Citizen.

Don't know if there's an easy way out.(Unless you are a physician and can plead "extraordinary hardship circumstances" while being away from your married partner..Not sure how favorable the outcomes have been)

You can bring your spouse to US in H1B visa (if she is eligible) else you can make her to study in CA (if you arein USA, with that papers you can get her college admisison ) and she can wiat there for 2-3 years and complete her studies and you can visit there or she can as she would be having multiple entry visa if she is in CA.
