Hello

I had a 221(g) in Sept. 2000.

The Consular Officer said "B.Com + 2.5 years experience not enough".

I have been in Australia since October 2000. I now have 5.5 years experience. I am on a work visa in Australia.

The same company that processed my H1 in 2000 is doing another H1 now.

But this time they are insisting that I go for stamping here in the Sydney Consulate.

Is it advisable?

I had a clean passport in 2000, but now I have visited Australia, Singapore and the UK. Will that be of any help?

Please provide your thoughts as to what are the pros/cons of trying for stamping in a non-home Consulate.

Yes , no harm in trying in australia. But you might have to disclose the rejection in home country, which might lead to rejection in sydney too... What does the company recommend? (I dont need an answer)

thx for the reply

Thanks for the reply

Since I was refused a visa because I didnt have enough work experience, I strongly feel that if I apply for the visa at the Madras Consulate now, there is a good chance of approval this time, because I have 3 more years of experience now...

I am not too sure if the Sydney Consulate generally understands indian qualifications...

But the company says that I must appear for stamping at the Sydney Consulate because I was already rejected in India, and they feel that Madras Consulate is generally too strict.

Also I heard that the same company cannot file another H1 after a visa refusal?

Does it apply even after more than 3 years of the first refusal???
