New EAD- How much time

I have never applied for EAD. My H1 Expires on June 2003.
At what time do you think I should apply EAD to avoid any delays.
My 485 is peding with RD 11/20/01.
What is current processing time for new EAD?

Don't bother applying for an EAD till March 2003. Your 485 should be approved before that. Current EAD approval takes about 2 months or less.
