Hi everybody,
I just joined the forum, though I've been following the threads here very closely-- thanks for all the useful info already posted. I'm married to USC, living in OH and we have just received our interview notice (in quite a short time, thankfully, having applied last December).
While I was looking at the list of documents they ask me to bring to the interview, I realized that they are asking for:
=A completed medical examination form (I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted)
=A completed Affidavit of Support (I-864) with all required evidence from each of your sponsors (unless already submitted)
My question is I have already sent these along with my AOS application back in December 2005. The interview is in May 2006 and I'm wondering whether I'm fine having submitted the forms already-- the reason I'm asking is I've read in certain forum postings that some documents and forms need to be filled out again or be current at the time of the interview. My medical exam was back in June 2005 and since it is valid for a year, I should be fine in May, right?
And my wife's mother is my joint sponsor-- does she need to fill out and get notarized another I-864 form in May? Or would her recent paystubs and 2005 W-2 be enough? I'm asking all this because I just don't want it there to be an unexpected problem in the interview.
And finally, is an official copy of birth certificate necassary for the joint sponsor or would a photocopy of US passport be enough?
I would appreciate your answers very much.
Thank you.
