New Bill and EB1 category

This article is a bit misleading. Under the new bill, all EB categories will be replaced with a point system. Eb-1 is just the focus of this Washington Post article because of its importance.

From what I understand, if the bill is signed into law before October 1 of this year, it will be effective on Oct. 1 2007. If it's signed after, it will be effective on Oct 1, 2008. However, I don't know what this would mean for people who have already applied.

hi,
read the article, debating on EB1. what a goffy rule these people are making. rules are becoming crazy day by day.do not know what to say. just we have to wait and watch!!
Guys,

Read this news on Washington Post.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dy...7/05/25/AR2007052502472.html?hpid=topnews<br>

If they abolish EB1, then probably we all have to line up for a long wait and possibly I can't even guess??

Has anybody idea what point system will be like. Everybody is worried about illegal workers and care about them. Will anybody care about legals who are highly qualified and more productive

Vote politics ????
