New AP

My current AP (got only two original copies) is going to expire on 3/10/2005. I am expecting to use those AP's in next 3-5 months by upcoming business trips. Can I apply for a new set of AP's before my current AP expiration date? Will the new AP's would be valid only after the expiration of current AP's?

Will the new AP's would be valid only after the expiration of current AP's?
----- They day AP is approved and you file from US and get in your hands in US it is valid from the date of issue.
