My online status changed to "RFE sent on 3rd September" but didn't get any letter at all. Called USCIS a week back and they opened a ticket but I haven't got anything yet. Should I wait, call USCIS again or walk-in to an ASC and get FP done? Please advise.
I got a letter yesterday from USCIS. The letter apologized for wrongly mentioning RFE in the online status and that the letter was only for biometrics which "you may have already completed". Obviously the customer rep misunderstood that I was complaining about the RFE status instead of understanding that I never got FP notice.
Now can I take that letter and walk in to an ASC for fingerprinting. I have read in other threads that some folks have walked in for fingerprints. Now I have a genuine reason why can't I walk-in? Or should I call the USC again.
Hi
Walk-in for FP only means that one goes to ASC with a FP notice and has the biometrics done other than the scheduled date and time(Usually in an earlier date). But if the letter does not contain any biometric instruction I doubt that they will let you in. However I think you should schedule an InfoPass and explain to the IO to see if a duplicate is available.
