Nepal - DV Visa question

I was born in Nepal but now I live in Canada. I have Nepali citizenship also Canadian Permanent Residency. I am planning to get Canadian Citizenship.
My question is - Can I file for a DV Visa, if I have Canadian Citizenship? or they will automatically disqualify me?
I read somewhere that you should be born in an eligible country even if the country you are currently living in is different.

You’re born in Nepal, that’s all that matters. Citizenship is irrelevent for DV eligibility.

Thank you for replying back. Do i need any proof of my birth? or if you can please guide me how to proceed? Like what documents i need. what can be the areas of concern? what verifications are needed? i have intentions to move to USA but pretty new to this space.
