Need your help ...I485 case transferred to Charlotte local office....How to Check Status?

Hi everybody

By mistake my lawyer filed my I-485 case in Texas service center based on my residency ,supposed to file the case VSC. I -140 from VSC and Jbo location and employer is located under VSC.

Any way case transferred to local charlotte office.

Filing date was Oct 2001 ,case transferred to local office got notice dated Nov 5th 2001 from Charlotte office.
AP was sent to home on DEC 2001
EAD was given DEC 20th 2001, has to go Charlotte to pick up.
FP notice received on 16th Jan 2002.
FP Appointment dated 23 rd Jan 2002.
waiting for local office interview for approval .

This is my case status.If any body\'s case(485) transferred to charlotte office ,I want to know the details.so that we can track what\'s happening.

Does any one has idea about how long it will take for approval with interview notice past FP stage in Charlotte local office.

I am trying to Check the status of my case? How can i Check my case status while it is in local Charlotte office?

I tried to call Atlanta district office ,they were not giving much info,what they were saying was if any thing is there u r local office will send you notification.There is no Number to INS Charlotte office.

And importantly if the case transferred to local office ,we won\'t get any Receipt Number just got only A# ...How do i check status of my proceesing in a local office only with A#?

Better than nothing. The 1 800 number might give reasons as to why your case was transferred to local INS

There are lot of 800 numbers,can u tell me which one i have to call.
