Well you can leave, but someone needs to check your mail in case they send you a request for evidence or an oath letter.

Yes you can travel. Make sure that someone checks your mail and also make sure that when you go to your oath ceremony, you update your travel information at the back of your oath notice; i.e., USCIS is fine if you travel after the interview, but they want to know your travel dates.

Thanks guys for taking your time to answer my question , the mail wont be a problem at all ,as my girlfriend will stay here and will be checking my mail , it's just that when i asked my lawyer if i can leave for a month and he said no you can't leave while your case is still pending.

Fire your lawyer first. If you have no problem with physical presence and number of days , you can go for a visit abroad . Be sure to return for oath ceremony in time. best of luck

As for as my trips go in the past five years I've had 6 trips oversees and none of them was more than 6 months ,in fact the longest one was for 5 months and my last trip was in June of 2011 for two months . So you guys think it shouldn't be a problem for me to travel for few weeks correct ? thanks !
