Hi Experts,

I need a Urgent help! i am currently working on H1B visa, can i temporary stop working due to some personal problems, even my employer agreed to grant me leave without pay.I want to know is it officially allowed by immigration department, if so whats the procedure required?

yes. on personal ground (for emergency health/family),you can apply for leave but requesting leave for more than couple of months is proabably hard. your employer will need to keep a copy of the letter

H1 visa URGENT issue

I am on H1 visa, my employer not been able to provide any project & i am on bench since last 6 months. But to keep my visa in status he has ran payroll for last 3 months also employer is bearing all taxes & insurance which i have to pay later once i get project. But now my employer is not willing to run payroll as taxes are going too high.So i am instructed to go on leave on personal background or is there any way i keep my visa in status. So needed help on this issue.

Thanks in advance.

No employer is going to cover the payroll taxes. Its also against the law (in the event of an audit they will check company bank account transactions). Again as I said earlier, normally employer will not allow you to misuse the leave.
you need to quickly move to another company with a job. taking personal leave and at the same time present in US can weaken your emergency requirement. then you will have to file W2 at the end of the year to match your position salary. All these will come into play at some point during your GC process.
