I have my H1 approval and am getting married in 3 weeks time in India, I was hoping to get my H1 stamped and apply for H4 the same time but according to the Mumbai consulate I would need to be married to apply for an interview date for H4 for my wife. the dates available are 70 days in the future for H1 and H4. which means its a 6 month process before my wife comes here. since I need to reschedule the marriage to the date when I can get my H1 stamped and then she applies for an H4.
Does anybody have any experience/ suggestions if there is some documentation I can file here to request an immediate date for my H1/H4 stamping.
