Need to stamp again...

Hi All,

I need to stamp again my GC stamping in passport expiring next month, I have not got my actual GC yet, I send them an enquiry no reply so far. On the safer side I want to get it stamped, what are all the docs need for restamping? Also does anybody provide Sacramento INS office & usual time to be there in order to get the things done quick.

Your inputs appreciated.......

sorry - can't answer your question - but I'll be in the same boat in April so I am wondering - how long have you been waiting for plastic card - I was hoping mine would be here by then and have heard some people on this forum got them in 1-2 weeks after stamping.

stamp at san jose, on 3/03.
need to re-stampagain.

probably they did not domi-89 scan forme.
 
A friend of mine has stamped three times, and the time for his 4th
stamping is approaching.

It is nothing going for stamp once a year, comparing to those like
me who are still desperately waiting after over two years.
 
wac 02 068 - I sympathise - we only just got ours - also more than two years of waiting -we're wac 02 061 - so actually only a few days apart in terms of original application - I agree stamping is nothing compared to that agonizing wait - but we did have to wait with two kids under 5 for about 4 hours which was hardly a walk in the park and also I had to take a day off since my job is not one where I can take off a few hours - its all or nothing - so it was lost income too - so if I can help it - I'd rather only have to do that every 10 years on renewal than annually - and in my case with my passport coming up for expiration in only a few months - having to do that again with my 5 year old is not something I am looking forward to !! I don't understand why some people get there plastic cards in a week and others never get them .
 
Is the stamping a necessary step to obtain the plastic card, or the card will come sooner or later regardless of the stamp in the passport?

lindamac.. are you going to get the stamp just because your passport is expiring? you can just present both your old passport with the stamp plus the new passport..

so to answer the original question.. i think you just need your original approval letter. plus your passport.. i dont think you need anything else... afair..
