This is for a friend of mine.....

Can anybody pls tell me whats the phone number to call USCIS to know the status of an I-130 Petition for Alien Relative U.S Citizen filing for a brother or sister.

The case was originally filed at Nebraska Service center and when we checked the processing dates only Vermont & California are processing I-130 Petition for Alien Relative U.S Citizen filing for a brother or sister applications. Want to know whether the application would have been transferred to Calif or vermont.

Please please anybody help me with the phone number. The processing dates are almost the same as the time he filed his I-130.

it doesn't matter whether it gets transferred, and what the processing dates at the service centers are. The wait for an immigrant visa number is 12-14 years (more for some countries), so it really doesn't matter whether the petition is approved a couple of months earlier. Sometimes it's to your benefits if it's pending longer (in case of aging out children).
