Thanks for the help!

So I am engaged to a Singapore resident. We have known each other for awhile and see each other (I fly to her or she fly's here) all the time. The timing is right and I proposed and she is actually getting laid off from work in July. So while we save up for the two weddings (one in Singapore and USA) we want to stay together at my house in US. We don't plan to get married within 90 days of her arriving....maybe a year. What can we do to make it where she doesn't go home? Put her in some beauty school to get the student visa? How about extensions? How hard? We just don't know.

Anyone had a similar situation?

Thanks

If you have a valid reason for the extension you won't have any problem. Getting student visa is also a good option but beauty school course will be very short(Not very sure). US Tourist visa can be extended till 1 year, need to be extended after 6 month.

So should we apply for a VISA before she leaves Singapore or apply for extension as soon as she gets here in the US?

Go the K-1 route. It will take around 6 months. Then she will have 4 months to use it before it expires. Upon entering she will get 90 days. So your planned wedding time frame, a year from now, will fit in right in.

So should we apply for a VISA before she leaves Singapore or apply for extension as soon as she gets here in the US?
