Need some help!

Hello everyone!

My name is Doni and im only 19 (20 on septembre ) years old was selected for further processing, my CN is EU 188**, is a pretty good number i guess right? Anyway this is not my concern atm, i'm one person applying since i had one brother more than 21 so my parents werent ready to leave him alone. My questions are:


1.Can my age effect my chances on getting a visa ?( I meet all requirement: 12 years high school, + working the last year in some italian call center. )

2.The day of the interview is going to be in english or in my native language ? ( I can speak english, can read write and understand but im not very sure in the day of the interview im going to be so ready, from 1-10 i have a 7 on english ) what you guys think should i start some english classes just to improve myself or the interview can be done in my native language too. Does a person got more chances cuz his interview was in engish more than anther one that had his interview in his native language?

3.I have a supporter on USA who is willing to help me with all the documents but i don't know him in person, i know his brother tho .( Do i need to know the supporter in person ? )

4.Since i'm 20 years old i can't prove that a have a stable bank account but can prove my supporter documents is this enough tho ?

Now for the questions.

1. Your age may or may not be a As you say you are qualified by virtue of the education (you only need to prove the education OR the work experience - and your work experience is not at a level that would qualify you on its own). So - in theory a winner could be as young as 18 and still get the visa. However, they will also make a judgement based on your ability to avoid becoming a public charge - basically to support yourself financially. That is bound to be harder for someone at your age and inexperience. However, the public charge aspect is slight subjective and it is up to you to prepare a strong case.

2. You will do the interview normally in the local language of the embassy where you choose to be processed. So if that is Italy then you will be ok in Italian. English may also be an option. Speaking Enghlish better might help with your general case as described in point 1 but there is no specific English test/requirement.

3. Be careful with that. Having a supporter can help your case but if they don't believe the person has a real commitment to support you they may choose to discount it from your overall "public charge" position.

4. You should do all you can to show some savings. I doubt they would approve you based on a supporter only so you need to show some savings. After all - how are you going to pay all your costs, move to the States and survive. Do you expect them to believe that someone you don't even know is going to pick up the bill for everything? Doubtful in my opinion - so have some savings is a must.

I downloaded the instructions about the required documents and for us Albanians they don'task to have a bank account they only ask for a Affidavit of Support, and the guy in USA is just me i never met him in person cuz he is around 45-50 married with kids, my dads do have relation with him so is more than secure.

Do you think it will be more OK if the guy in USA could send me some other documents like an employment invitation im around 20 what job do you think can fit on me in USA (High school only), + i can speak Albanian Italian ,English and Spanish somehow!

Really I would NOT go to the interview with only an affidavit of support.

for the affidavit of support they will expect some documentation - check the I-134 form instructions about that. Job offers may help, but it might look contrived.

In terms of what job you can get - well there are many jobs so it's impossible for me to know what you would fit. However, something using your language skills perhaps???

LOL - it sounds like you are in a call center mode. We don't "close" questions they are left in the forum so that others can read the answers to questions they may want to research.

Incidentally - if you enjoy call center work, that may well be a good start for you in the States careerwise.

To be honest i rather prefer working on construction or a waiter or a selling burgers than call center. I'm working on a call center atm cuz was a good possibility on making money, and i needed money badly, but if this job come as an alternative in usa i don't mind to work couple of months just to start somehow. But in my opinion call center su*ks .

Well yeah that is the right attitude - you seem prepared to be flexible about work opportunities, you aren't expecting to start at the top and if needed you'll do something you don't enjoy to pay the bills. Well done. That realistic approach is head and shoulders above some 19 year olds I have talked to...
