Does anyone has any idea why I had to do FP code 2 in July,2005 & again received another FP code1 for October,2005 ???????

Code 2 goes on your Green card. Thats not fingerprints. You are being asked for Code 1 because your fingerprints have expired. If you remember, you did FP in 2004 right? Those have expired now and your fingerprints will be taken again and sent to FBI and then when they are cleared, the officer will start to work on your case again. Its a stupid process since FP's dont change but as it works in the U.S Government(as i work for one of the entities), To request something from another U.S Government entity, there is a process that is followed, You can't just pick up a phone and say "hey frank send me those FP's for Atique Rahman"...

As it is with Government, everything is paper and everything should have evidence of it.

You are right. My last FP was May,2004. Man I sure appreciate your help. You clarify this issue very nicely. After receiving the second FP code 1 I was all upset thinking it must be a mistake otherwise why I have to do another one. But as you said code 2 is not actually finger print but they do that for the green card that certainly makes sense.
Now, do u have any idea how long it usually takes to finish all this process & get an approval. Man I'm exhausted & tired. I know I'm not the only one but it's sad for all of us waiting for all this time living in States for last 14 years & go through all these Medical/FP but no sign of GC.
I was granted asylum by the IJ Dec1999 at Dallas. Now it's going to be 6 yrs but no sign of GC. Well, sorry dude I'm just frustrated.
