hi guys,
I am a long time reader of this forum. Today I want to ask your guys opinion about some situation.
Say Mr. Tom have his I-140 approved and he gets a new job (which he can - AC21). After few days he gets a letter from his old employer saying they revoked his labor/I-140. He is ok since he filed AC-21 when he joined the new company. Everything is going great now suddenly one day there are layoffs in his company and he losses his job.
So now he has I-140 but does not have his 485/GC yet. He also has his EAD which expires in 5 months. Now here are my questions.
1. Is he out of status or what is his status?
2. Can he get a new job?
3. Can he apply for EAD renewal on his own?
4. What to do in this situation?
Thank you for your answers
