Need opinion : How long will my in laws get to stay in the US on their second visit in same year ?

Hi,
I need your opinion.
My in-laws came to the US in the first week of April 2012.
They were stamped for 6 months at the Port Of Entry(POE) in Chicago.
My in-laws will be staying in the US until end of Sep 2012.
They will be coming back to the US in the first week of Dec 2012.
Their Port Of Entry(POE) will be San Francisco this time.
How long will they be stamped for this time ?
