Need N-400 advice for my neighbour

Yesterday my neighbour asked for my opinon on this.
I really dont know what to suggest. (nice guy from UK)

He came to the US on an F1 visa (was later out of status)
Married a US citizen, payed a penalty to INS and got his PR (conditional Card)approved.

He works for the loacal govt (state)

In 2005 he filed to remove Condition and got his 10 Year GC 6 months after filing.

He wants to know apply for citizenship and want to know if he will encounter problems.....due to previous F1 history.

(I personally suggested he goes ahead. My sister was in the same situation and is not a USC. The interview went smooth)
