Need information

My RD is 12/3/2001, ND is 12/15/2001. These are I485 details.
When i spoke to Vermont Service center during end of May 2003 they have told me that my case has been assigned to officer.
But till date my message has been the same, Finger prints received and the processiong has been resumed.
My FP results were received on June 14, 2002.
I am wondering if the case has been assigned to officer on May 19, 2003, does it take almost 2 moths to make a decision.

I want to know what may be the possible reasons. Have not received any RFE till date.
Let me know yr thoughts.
 
I have the same situation. IIO told me case assigned, but no sign it's been assigned yet. Still waiting. FP expired.

its the prolonged fbi name check.. i read somewhere in this forum that the name check takes between 2-3 months.

correct me if I am wrong.
 
That's just an excuse. I found many cases in 076 has not been processed. Won't be those cases are caused by all "name check".
 
Does the FBI name check will be done after assigning to officer.
I thought once if it is assigned to officer means everything in place and all the required formalities are completed.
Correct me if i am wrong.
 
I don't know. anybody else know that? I'm trying to find out this too. Anybody, assigned to officer, then know security check is not done, please post here
