Need information regardgin l1 to h1

Hi,
I have a valid L1 visa till mar 2008 with Company A. In the mean time Compnay B is going to apply for change of status from l1 to h1 , with in this april.
In between this , I am plannig to go for a month to india. Will that affect my h1 process if i go after April, or after company B files for change of status.

You can go out of country while your COS is in process. But you will get notice for intent to denial for your H1 if you travel after H1 (COS) is filed. however you can apply for regular H1 and it will not have any impact
