need info regd reciept number

i got mail from my sponser on may 3rd 2006 saying they filed my h1B(new) to INS.
i haven't recieved my EAC number yet. i asked my sponser, he said "company checks were already cleared on 16 mar. don worry i will talk with lawyer".
does it mean that if company cheques were cleared, one can assure that his application got reciept number?
can anybody provide some info abt this..

Same in my case also I gave all the docs on March 25th to the company and till now awaiting for reply / eac number they say don worry i will update you later ... it will take some time

h1 receipt

my application was filed round 12 th april 06
and the receipt was issued on 299th april06
and my employer has received and informed
me the number details--and it says tit will
take 90 to 150 days

this is normal application and not premium
process

What is the receipt look like?

I got the receipt too, but I didn't see 'request H-1B visa' after the payment. Is yours same? Sorry for asking this stupid question.
