Need info on how to pay USCIS

Hello,

Hope someone can help me. Does the USCIS require that all H1-B application (filing fee $185, training fee $1,500, fraud fee $500) payments be in official company check form?

A company is considering hiring me assuming that I pay for all the required filing fees. Since it is quite a large company, they dont want to have to go through the hassle of advancing the payments for me (check payments are done in the central office) :( ....even if i reimburse them later...what they want to happen is that i will pay for all the fees myself using a personal check or money order...

also, assuming one of the senior managers is willing to issue his personal check to shoulder the payments (and i pay him back) is this possible since he is an employee of the company?

Has anyone done this? Or did all of you need to use an official company check to make the payments?

Thanks!

Oh brother. I would not work for a company who would not pay for the H-1B.
If they want you to work for them so badly they should pay. It is up to you but I would find someone else who is a little more responsive. I had 3 companies offer to pay when I was looking for work in the US. If they are like this for the H-1B how much help are they going to be if you want to file for the Green Card. How are they going to handle the recruitment side of things. Make you pay for that too??? I don't think so.

Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately this is the only company that is offering to hire me. Its a pretty good company (large company, great pay, great benefits, great opportunity for growth) which is why i am willing to shoulder the costs (although i have an MBA, my skills are your typical business graduate, non-cpa, non-software engineer)...if ever, i will be the first H1B employee they have...

i know that when i am finally in...i will be able to convince them to sponsor me for my greencard.. a good friend who is a senior manager is the one who got me the interviews which i passed.....the challenge is getting the HR department to go thru the process of the H1B, we are convincing them that it would be "no skin off their back"...

this is why i need to know if payments to the USCIS needs to be paid using company check and company check only

thanks

The filing fee and the additional fee must be paid by the employer. You can not pay that. But since the payment can be done through a check (company check) or money order, I guess you can buy the money order and place the name of your company as the payer. DO NOT SEND A PERSONAL CHECK.
