Need Info... H1 Transfer

Initially I am holding H1 visa with Company A which was already approved. I changed to Company B. Company B filed H1 transfer during June last week and I have a receipt number. This H1 was not yet approved.

Meanwhile, I am getting offers from other companies. Can I file another H1 transfer with Company C, at this stage or do I have to wait till my H1 visa with Company B gets approved?

Can we get detailed status information regarding our H1 petition other than status information we get when we call the 1-800 number or in the INS web site (https://egov.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/cris/jsps/caseStat.jsp)?

U can use the transfer's receipt notice and file for another transfer to company C and can enjoy visa portability (i.e. start working for C).
Only way to get more info about your petition, is to call the service center (see the telephone number in the receipt notice) during office hours . I hear that the wait is nowadays reduced to less than an hour...
