I just became a Canadian Citizen. I am married to US GC holder wife. I am H1-B.
Congratulation for your Citizenship, how did you manage it being on H1B in US and not residing in Canada? It will help others if you give some tips.
I am wondering if I get any problem if I travel with my wife to US.
Your wife can enter Canada with her US GC, no problem
Is Immigration officer going to give me hard time just because I ma married to GC holder?
---- No problem, you can sponsor her from Canada, as permanent resident but it will be difficult to manage PR of both the countries, getting married to US GC holder is not a crime but if she has to sponsor you for US GC it will take time
Please help. Do i need a Canadian passport to travel or can i just take my Citizenship card to the border? Please comment.
- Better have Canadian Passport,( I am not sure) you also wrote that you are H1b if you have H1b visa you can enter showing H1b valid visa
