need help

Hi ,

I need help urgently. I am planningto go to india for visa stamping . my lawyer is insisting me to go to india and get it stamped with new H1 B they are processing. I have to go to chennai for appointment. But it seems we are not getting appointments immidiately. In order to go to delhi or calcutta ur visa shouldnt have been expired for more than a year and u have never been refused visa.
My visa expired 6 months back. I had sent for stamping to st louis/ washington Dc. but they said they are unable to process ur visa under section 221(g)
reason is -- not clearly approvable at this time , u must apply for new visa overseas.

Does this qualify as a visa refusal???? or can i still go to delhi for visa stamping.

And also if a visa is rejected do they stamp anything on passport????????

No it is not a visa rejection, but denial. You need to get the visa at a US consualte ASAP.

Make sure that 221g is satisfied properly. Take the interview seriously and provide all documents. If you think you dont know what document was missing, then expect an interview call.

If visa is rejected in the US consualte, you cannot come back into US.
