I spoke to IIO today morning, very rude one. Almost got into an argument with her. My EAD case was transferred from VSC to LA six months back. And
still I haven\'t received it. When I went to LA INS personally they said they have not received my file from VSC.Atleast it did not show up on their computer.When I called today to VSC to get status on it.she said they have transferred it to LA & she won\'t answer my questions as I live in LA & I should have filed it there itself.I think my file is lost.So what do I do about it.Secondly would this conversation affect my 485 as my PD is current now.I heard they keep track of each conversation.would they transfer my 485 to LA too.I am really worried now.

It does not matter what IIO said. They just tell something in most cases. Did you check avm for your EAD case? what does it say?
I have never heard EAD case getting transferred to local INS. Are you sure it is EAD case or 485 case? If it is EAD and it is past 90 working days, then you can take EAD receipt and go to local INS to get the card.

This is EAD case.AVM says same thing that \'Your case is transferred to
LA for speed up the processing ....\' Browsed on this site & did not find any EAD case transferred to local INS. As per LA INS they don\'t have it as per VSC they don\'t have it either. I think it is lost now.
Dose anybody know how long the interim EAD is valid ? what documents you need to take along to get that. Now my main concern is Would they transfer my 485 too for very same reason. Because she kept on saying that if you live in LA you have to file it over there.Do they really keep track of their phone conversation???

I think the INS might have made mistake in your EAD case.
You can take your EAD receipt, 2 adit style photos and go to local INS. Your receipt shows that you have already paid the fees. You should be able to get the same from local INS.

I dont think it will affect your 485.. if they are keeping track of calls, it might only be bcos they want to discourage people
who call everyday.. they cant arbitrarily transfer your case to LA bcos you called them or that you applied for your
EAD transfer to LA.. did u talk to your lawyer? why dont you apply for fresh EAD from LA? Ask Ls office if you can do that
since EAD is supposed to be issued within 90 days..
