Hi Every body.
I just received Bio code 2 for my daughter who is 7 yrs of age is a derivative asylee. As she dont have any Photo ID with her except the expired passport can some body tell me what to take for identification purposes on that day.Also is this normal to get code 2 for 7 yr old :confused: :confused:
Can i try to renew her passport?
I just have done my Bio code3, 3 days back.

Does she go to school? If yes then ask for an ID there. I would say get her a state Id tomorrow and you shoudl have it with in 2 weeks.
 
Identification (ID) cards

DMV issues ID cards to persons of any age. The ID card looks like a driver license, but is used for identification purposes only. A regular ID card is valid for six years, and a senior citizen ID card is valid for 10 years. To qualify for a senior citizen ID card, you must be age 62 or older.

This is the one I found in DMV.org website, I think it is easy to get one. Good luck.

no it varies from state to state. In florida you have to be twelve or older.

also most states now want proof of immigration status before issuing an ID card. the daugther of the OP should get a photo document (EAD or RTD) from the USCIS.
 
At 7,she/he should be going to school.If this is the case,ask for school ID.If it can't work,check with DMV for state ID.Before you go for school ID or state ID options,I would advice you to go to your local uscis with the expired National Passport and request for Bio be done early and see how it's gonna work.If they say they can't take expired passport,then use one of the two options as backup before the scheduled date comes.

you can just renew your daughter' passport, because she is deriative asylee, renewing her passport won't make a trouble for her adjustment and citizen application. I don't believe that uscis will give a trouble to a girl under 18 for renewing her passport.

Got the photo ID

Thanks for the right advise. I applied for my daughter Photo ID in DMV yesterday & got it today in the after noon.
Hopefully there wont be any problem doing her Bio code 2 on Dec 29.
