Hi Folks,
I am about to become a US Citizen and then immediately apply for my wife's green card. I have tried to search this forum but I guess my search patterns didn't were not good. Can anyone pls help answer the following questions.

1. I have gone through the list of forms and the instructions that come with it but I guess the instructions with the forms are not updated and show different amount for the checks to be mailed with the forms. Can anyone please tell how much amount to be filled for each form's check? Who should the check be mailed to (USCIS) or (Department of Homeland Security)? I am sure this has been discussed here but my search patterns didn't come up with it.

2. We are in austin,tx. The instruction cover page does not list texas as one of the states whose forms should be sent to the chicago lock box but I am being told to mail it to the chicago lock box. Can anyone confirm this and the address to mail all the forms to?

3. How to find out what is the minimum income requirement for my household size? The I-864 directions dont talk about it.

4. Where can I get a list of doctors in austin area for I-693 medical test?

5. In G325-a it asks about my nationality. Once I am a US citizen should I write it is american or US or some other thing?

6. If she has overstayed her time of entry on I-94 will there be a problem if I apply for her work permit?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You should always get the updated forms from this link. http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/index.htm
These forms here would mention the correct fees in the isntruction part. The checks should be writen to Department of Homeland Security

2. We are in austin,tx. The instruction cover page does not list texas as one of the states whose forms should be sent to the chicago lock box but I am being told to mail it to the chicago lock box. Can anyone confirm this and the address to mail all the forms to?
Look here. Texas residents should mail application to the chicago lock box. http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-485.htm#fba
You may also want to check if you qualify to file under the DORA dallas program. (Though i dont think you qualify, but you may want to check)

3. How to find out what is the minimum income requirement for my household size? The I-864 directions dont talk about it.
I dont think you read the instructions completely. The I-864 package contains I-864, I-864A, I-864P and I-865. Here is a link for your reference
http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/files/I-864p.pdf

4. Where can I get a list of doctors in austin area for I-693 medical test?
Look here. http://uscis.gov/graphics/exec/cs/Index.asp?
Enter your zip code to get a list of surgeons around your area.

5. In G325-a it asks about my nationality. Once I am a US citizen should I write it is american or US or some other thing?

6. If she has overstayed her time of entry on I-94 will there be a problem if I apply for her work permit?
No. There wont be a problem, but dont apply for AP as she might trigger the 3/10 year bar (depending on her length of overstay) if she leaves US and re-enters while her GC process is pending.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Advice: All the questions you asked are pretty basic questions and you would find the answer at www.uscis.gov or by searching this forums. Pls avoid asking questions like this before you do your prelimnary research.

"some other thing"

You can change your citizenship, but nationality is permanent. Nationality is something you born with and it’s going to be written in your future US passport as well.
