Need to reply EVL. Have a gap between previous and current employment (3 months)

In the RFE they asked to explain if your current employer is not same then explain why??

Can some one, who was in similar situation and replied RFE, shed some light on how to answer this question.

Any problem with saying due to layoffs.

Thanks

There shouldn't be any problems in saying that you are laid off. But check with your lawyer and also do some research in the protal. You will find out lot more information and also your questions were already answered in great detail!! :)

Good luck!

Thanks tk_tk

Thanks for the info. Most of the info. I found on the portal search (sample EVLs) does not seem to address when there is a gap.
Looks like most of them changed job on AC21 or no break between jobs. Hope some one in similar situation will post their EVL.

Will try with attorney and see what to mention on the reply.
Hope it works out.

I had a gap.. but no one ever metioned.

Showmeg,

I was laid off on May 30 and I joined new job on July 1st, 2002.
Filed AC21, rfe answered, evlprovided and case approved.
Nowhere we had to mention the gap.
My rfe asked for explanation if employer ios different. The answer was, Mr(my name ) is using the provisions in AC21 to change the job. Thats it.

Good luck! A lawyer must draft the letter.
