Need help with info on Emergency AP ...PCee,RSGC ,Others any Inputs

Hi Guys
I managed to speak to the IIO today about my pending AP ( ND Feb 21) and was told that a RFE was ordered on 1st of April but ,i have not recd anything from them so far.
In the mean time i am kind of desperate to go home...(have not gone home in 4 1/2 years...feel pretty down)
My question is :
1.Can i walk-into the LA office and apply for a emergency AP while the other is pending ?
2.What are the RFE\'s for AP normally about ?

Any info on this would be helpful..i did ofcourse leave a message for my attorney ..however i would like to hear from you guys.

I don\'t think u need AP to travel at this stage. If ur H1 is valid, u can always travel using the 485 receipt. Only if ur H1 is no more valid and if u r using ur EAD, then u may need AP to travel. Hope this helps...

U can still get ur VISA stamped on ur passport when u go home and re-enter U.S with valid VISA and 485 receipt..
 
Usually you can if it\'s really an emergency and you can produce some proof

but in your case since you already have an RFE pending, I dunno if you can get it....you can give it a try......I remember someone recently got an Emergency AP in this forum..

Feeling down becuase i had everything planned and now i get this...
By the way Nrupa..cant go for Visa in India..cos mine was a COS from B1 to H1 and these days they are very picky about such stuff.

RFE for AP could be just for copy of I-140 approval or photographs. Some times photographs may be misplaced or not acceptable etc. If you get RFE notice some how probably you can respond almost immediately and hope that you will get AP with in couple of days (like I-485 RFE turn around time, which is just couple of days...).
