Need help with I-131

Hello Gurus,

I am a GC holder and I am moving back to india for longer duration. I need help from gurus to file I-131 reentry permit section

1. What should I write in the Class of admission
2. Can i file only one I-131 for both of us (me & my husband)
3. can anybody find me the link releated to I-131 on this forum - previously link to file up 131 used to be in 485 forum but beacuse of restructuring em not able to find it. :confused:

(1) Class of Admission -> whatever your status was when you last *ENTERED* the US. (not your current status)

(2) -- you need 2 separate applications --- cannot combine it.

(3) 131 is used for multiple applications -- it is the same form used for Advance Parole -- that is what most folks use to re-enter when their 485 is pending.
So most of the forum info is likely related to AP rather than re-entry permit.

But still not clear with Class of Admission as I entered USA on my Advance Parole. Any suggestions as what words will be appropriate for the column of class of admission.

Class of admission is "I 485" if you used Advanced Parole previously. Thats what my lawyer used to put for advance parole renewals. How much detail explanation are you planning to provide for purpose of travel? 2-3 lines?

I have one more question about reentry permit part 5

Part 5 they are asking following

Since becoming a Permanant Resident of United States (or during the last five years, whichever is less) how much total time you spent outside the US ?


my situation is my I-485 got approved in 04/2005 when I was in India, entered USA on AP on 04/2006. Got physical green card in June 2006

Now from which date I should calculate my total time spent outside the usa. Should I calculate from my date of approval or from the date I got physical GC

Request help from all gurus.
