Need help with AP info

Hi,
We filed our I-485 in March of this year (WAC-0313*****). Now we are planning to file our EAD and AP by ourselves, since filing thru' lawyer is very expensive. I have a couple of questions. In Part 3 of AP form, what information do we need to enter in 'Date of intended departure' and 'expected length of trip'. Secondly, is our being adjustees the qualification needed to complete Part 7 of AP form i.e how do you qualify for AP and what circumstances warrant issuance of AP. Could any of the gurus throw some light on this. Thank you for your help in advance.

This is actually very easy: date of intended departure and expected length of trip should be just that, no hidden meaning there - if you wish to travel before the end of August however, don't plan on it because you won't get the AP. You two can still travel on H1/h4 however. As for "how do you qualify for AP and what circumstances warrant issuance of AP" - just say you'd like to visit your family abroad. That's enough.
Don't forget both I-485 receipts, I-140 approval for the principal applicant, marriage certificate, birth certificate(s) for kids if they're not US citizens and I-94 forms (all copies of course).
