need help urgently please help

hi Mr. Khanna,

I posted my application for OPT on the 15th of December and the INS had to receive it by the 20th. The school International Services said that it is not necessary that INS has to receive it by the 20th, but it is alright if the application is posted by that date. I received a letter dated 23rd Feb. from the INS stating the PT application was rejected as it was received on the 22nd of December. The Intl. Services contacted INS and they received a mail from INS stating that the application has to be reopened or else the student has to leave the country by the 23rd of April. To remain as a student, I have to go to India to get my VISA stamped.

Now i am in a soup please advice what are my alternatives without leaving USA.
