I just got I140 approved and ready for filing I485 but my wife will come to usa after 2 months. My attorney said that I had to wait for her coming then file together, otherwise separately filing I485 would affect processing time. Is that true?
Separate filing is certainly permissible but it could result in different appointment dates, and times (for FP and an interview if necessary) and a different approval date.
